What Students Think..
The first mistake anyone make about hair school is that it's the funnest and easiest form of training. Not!
While it doesn't take a rocket scientist to succeed, it does take a will and personal drive to successfully complete the program.
Personal drive meaning being present as scheduled and simply applying yourself.
The next biggest thing students think about hair school is that the school is out to screw them over. How, a number of ways but here are just some of the most common that I come across a lot. First by 'stealing' their loan money. How? They never take the extra three seconds to remember that student loans are governed by the government. Who could steal from them.. Student loans are so carefully watched and regulated by the government until most beauty schools hate they are involved with them, but the loans keeps the classrooms full. Stealing student loans is stupid and not worth the years in federal prison.
The next thing students think is that the school 'hides' the hours they have earned. Seriously?
What they fail to realize is that we work hard to move them thru the program so they can graduate and get on with their lives and start earning money. On the other hand, most schools are bursting at the seams to graduate trouble making and/or complaining students. Why do we want to hide their hours, to keep them stirring up trouble and listening to their endless and most of the time pointless complaint after complaint? No, absolutely not. We want you gone as soon as you should be. Shame on you!
Last but not least is that students think the don't have to be responsible, so they won't be and then when their non-responsibility causes things to fall apart, guess who they blame. If you answered 'the school' as to who the students will blame. The school o course.
If you're thinking about enrolling into a hair school keep on mind that the school is not out to 'get over' on you or to. Enroll, be responsible, ask for help if you need it and be prepared to start your new career.
