A double process blonde client must make a commitment to come in to the salon every 3-4 weeks in order to keep her blonde fresh and at a consistent tone.
When a double process blonde client comes with 2 or more inches of outgrowth, your job as a stylist has just become tedious. With minimal outgrowth at 3-4 weeks, the outgrowth area is still down close to the scalp where the body heat is. In this scenario, the retouch service is very easy. When the outgrowth is farther away from the scalp, you will not be able to get your clients hair as blonde as the rest due to lack of body heat.
If this is the case, after applying your lightener mixture youhsould place a plastic processing cap over your clients head. This will compensate for body heat and you will be able to keep an eye on the process.
