To What Length Will A School Go To Recruit New Students?

Are you kidding me?
Another student who can't read. Then there's another student who don't speak or understand English. Then there's a few who are obviously mentally challenged, obviously. And who can forget those who are more than dependent on 'thought process meds' such as Xanax, etc.
To me, these are students who CLEARLY should not be enrolled in school unless the school has the means to help them in their situations.
Upon signing for a gov't issued student loan, these students become responsible for repayment of the loan 6 months after their graduation date. One of the factors that bother me tremendously is when the recruiter knows full-well that the student won't make it thru the program due to the situations I listed above.
This is wrong and poor representation of the school. Bottom line.
I suggest that if anyone reading this is considering enrolling into a cosmetology program to make sure your needs can be met.
So that brings up another issue that really bothers me...
Schools promising 'needy' students things they simply don't provide just to get a student in the door. This is wrong and a very low act.
I understand these recruiters have quotas to reach, and I understand schools have bills to pay. But in my opinion, a school would be more profitable and more sought out by future students by doing a more strenuous admission interview.
I'm not saying close doors to those who may be mentally challenged, what I am saying is make sure you can accommodate their needs AND be prepared to deliver everything you promised.
