How Long Should You Keep Your Weave In??

Good question.

When I say up to 3 months, all the client hear is 3 months. Let's clarify.

In 3 months time a client hair grows and creates new growth.

When all of the new growth 'meet' each other, it tends to 'mingle' or lock together depending on the texture.

Once the new growth mingles, it doesn't separate very easily. If a weave is left in too long, the take down process will be a chore and the comb-thru process will cause breakage to the hair.
So, if you don't care about your hair breaking off, then you could wear your weave for as long as you desire.
Otherwise, as I always tell my clients, UP-TO 3 months depending on your new growth. If your new growth is coarse or kinky, I WOULD NOT wait the whole 3 months. If your hair is finer, then you could wear your weave for a longer period of time, still not past the 3 month mark.
